FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Finger foods are the life of any party. No matter what stories your guests have they always come back to the food. Good food can set your party apart as the best party in a long time and leave all your guests wondering what it was that made the night so amazing. These easy to prepare canape recipes are your secret weapons that are sure to please everyone. With DIP Foods providing you with pre-prepared baked canape bases the setup time is now faster than ever.

Salmon Blinis

For a salmon blinis you will need freshly prepared blinis, smoked salmon, lemon, black pepper, sour cream and finely chopped shallot. Dice the smoked salmon into smaller pieces and place them in a bowl. Add half a lemon worth of lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper. Add the finely chopped shallot to the bowl and mix well. Spread a layer of sour cream over the blinis and place a spoonful of your salmon mix on top. Add the garnish of your choice to complement the dish and make it absolutely unforgettable.

Salad cups

Use a large bowl to mix together diced tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, olives, feta cheese and onions. Place a leaf of lettuce in a previously prepared canape base. You can get pre-prepared healthy and tasty baked canapes from the DIP Foods website to help you save time on searching for baked canape recipes. Scoop out a tablespoon of the salad and place it in your lettuce and canape base for your fully vegetarian salad cups.

Cranberry and brie bites

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray. Sprinkle some dry flour on a clean surface and roll out a crescent shaped piece of dough. Cut the dough into 20 - 25 squares and place them in your mini muffin tin slots. Cut your brie into small pieces and place them on top of the dough. Top it off with a spoonful of cranberry sauce and some chopped pecans and rosemary. Let this bake until the base turns golden. Serve while hot for the full effect of this sweet canape.

Pizza pinwheels

To make pizza pinwheels first place some dry floor on a clean surface and roll out a crescent shaped piece of dough. Spread marinara sauce over the dough leaving a 1 inch border. Add pepperoni and cheese or chicken, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. Fold up the one inch border that you left and then roll the whole thing widthwise into a roll. Cut this roll into even slices and place them into your oven. Bake until golden brown. Your pizza pinwheels are now ready to serve. You can alter the recipe any way you like to better serve the tastes of you and your guests.
